Received item next day after purchase (express delivery). I installed it in less than 1 hour including cables hidden under carpet. looks great sounds even better. The auto calibration is easy to use and takes about 2 minutes to calibrate.

Subwoofer is not too big, and fits in nicely alongside my TV unit. The 4 satellite speakers are very light and stylish visually, all speakers have hanging or stand versatility.

I would recommend this item to anybody who isn't interested in spending more than £300 on a hone cinema system. Considering the output of this system (1000 watt) it is great value for money.

I have always rated Sony products very highly. They are very attractive to look at, easy to operate, and are quality products. The DAVDZ330 meets Sonys' usual very high standards. It is black, sleek, attractive and has phenomenal sound quality!! Basically, it upgrades your DVDs' to virtually HD sound, so it's like being in the cinema in your own lounge!! The home cinema system consists of a DVD player, 4 micro speakers, a sub-woofer, a centre speaker, a usb cable, and a remote control. You can listen to iTunes via the usb, and mp3 tracks - all in glorious dolby suround sound. The sound quality is phenomenal!! The instructions are fully comprehensive and informative, even going as far as telling you how and where to place the speakers for maximum effect. It is compatible with HD TV's, so no problems there, and it looks and sounds gorgeous!! It gives all your dvds/cds amazing quality, and is a totally brilliant High Definition experience. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this item, and am thrilled to bits with it. It's fabulous, and has my highest recommendation.

Fast delivery was great. That's why I use Amazon, they understand that we want our new goodies yesterday....

This system was one of the better ones that I have owned. There are more pro's than con's which is always good. The system sounds great without being overly intrusive. I don't like huge boxes all over the walls and floor, and this system has small speakers that do the job of delivering the 1000W well. What they saved in space on the speakers went into the size of the receiver however. This thing is huge. It hangs over the back of the shelf under the tv.

The setting up of the unit with the menu function was a bit fiddly, you would think that the remote button marked "system menu" would take you directly to the menu. It doesn't. You have to press another button after that, but first you have to be in the right place before you do, then you are in the system menu. Sound confusing? It is.
The remote menu functions are the biggest gripe that I have of this system, but once setup correctly, I don't need to go back in and fiddle, so it doesn't bother me enough to not like the system.

I suggest reading the manual from cover to cover, as the system does not sound right straight out of the box, once you have it set up correctly however, it really does shine. The AUDIO DRC setting(Dynamic Range Control) is set off as default, playing with this makes a big difference with the voice vs background sound, I settled on the standard setting. Auto calibration helps too and is a nice feature....

Some sites (even Sony's) list this unit as not having an optical audio in. It does.

Short front speaker wires, I needed to lengthen them by 2m each for wall mounting.

Bought this after looking at the reviews and on here due to there not being many on the internet, and am very pleased with the system, not had a great chance to go into some of the features so far but sound quality in my opinion is very good, and user friendly.
I bought the Sony BDS 370 Blu ray player to add to the set up as well, for reasons of my own, and the style is identical, both great looking bits of kit and have a slim and modern look.
Speakers sit nicely in the corners of my room, the cable hidden behind the coving and speakers are mounted on universal brckets bought on Amazon, easy to fit and compliment the speakers well. Unless you have a perfect square room and sit in the middle, the speakers will calibrate with the calibration mic included, but it is important to try and position it as close to where you will be viewing and ear level, i have adjusted the speakers a fraction as my room as others is not square, but easy to adjust.
The only downside is the FM tuner, not the tuner itself but the wire to gain reception, my unit is in the corner and as as my house is in a low spot it wont pick up a radio signal, but radio can be obtained via the cable, so if you dont have cable or freeview then reception may be an issue, would be the same as a stereo so not much to grumble about.
All in all, i think its a great system for the price and really looking forward to testing it out with a good action film or similar.

awesome sound. improves old dvd quality and extremely simple to use.set up in about 30 mins. now all frieinds are looking at getting the same or similar
